It is a privilege to stand here representing Techmova Software Engineering and to celebrate this partnership with Bahir Dar Institute of Technology and Bahir Dar University.
For us, this summer is about something deeper than a technology course. It is about giving young people the opportunity to discover what they are capable of.
Some of our students began with zero programming experience. They started by learning how a webpage works, writing their first lines of JavaScript, and building their first portfolio. Step by step, they moved toward complete business websites with frontend and backend functionality.
Others entered with experience. For them, the challenge was different: to work on real-world, industry-standard projects and experience the discipline of modern software engineering using the MERN stack.
But the most important thing we want to give them is not a framework or a programming language.
We want to give them belief.
The belief that an idea can become a product. The belief that a problem can become a solution. And the belief that a young person from Bahir Dar can contribute to technology that reaches far beyond a classroom.
That is also the story we see in Techmova's own journey: from learning and building software, to taking on increasingly complex problems, and toward digital platforms such as Nedaje and enterprise ERP solutions.
Our journey reminds us that great digital infrastructure does not begin as infrastructure.
It begins with a problem. It begins with people. And very often, it begins with one line of code.
Today, we are proud to stand beside these students as they take that first step.
